Adgroups within Adwords are extremely important

Adgroups are a part of Adwords campaign. It is an important part of your Adwords campaign and you should really understand how to create Adgroups and place variety of Ad copy for more than 2 keywords.

According to Google, “An ad group contains one or more ads which target one set of keywords or placements. You set a bid, or price, for all the keywords or placements in the ad group. This is called a cost per click (CPC) or cost per thousand impressions (CPM) bid. You may also set prices for individual keywords or placements within the ad group”.

So you create an Adgroup with more than two Ad copies and target a set of keywords or placements. You can set a price for all the keywords or placements in the ad group or you can do it for individual keywords or placements within the ad group.

Ad groups are extremely important when it comes to serious Adwords marketing. You create a variety of ad copies on a single product and target a set of 10 keywords or placements. The process is good for testing out different Adwords copy. It also helps you manage your Ads in groups. You can create as many groups as you like. It is entirely dependent on your marketing strategy. For example, if you own an information product, you can create 10 different Adwords copy and target 10 different keywords in an ad group. You can then easily sort your ads for different products and distill out the best ad copy and the best performing keywords. Then, you can focus on that keyword and you can understand which Ad copy draws in more clicks.

Creating Ad groups is easy. If you have an Adwords account, you can easily create many adgroups for your products.

The best thing about ad groups is that you can set a bid or a price for the entire ad group or you can do that for individual keywords or placements in an ad group. The bidding process is quite easy once you understand the purpose of Ad groups.

Bidding for a single keyword or for several keywords is possible through ad groups. For example you create an ad group on a single product. You want to target 10 big keywords with 10 different Ad copy. You bid for all 10 keywords for a same price. It is dependent on how much competition a keyword has. If you bid for all 10 keywords for a same price, you might not get the desired placement. But if you bid on individual keywords in an Ad group, you can definitely get the placement of your choice depending on your Adwords budget.
