Google Adwords is a Pay per Click program which boosts the biggest PPC network on the internet. As you all know that the exposure on Google is tremendous. You have your ad displayed on the first page of search engine listings. You can target a market demographically through Google Adwords. Google Adwords are small text-based ads that can be seen on the right side of a Google search page or on the top of search listings. Since millions of people use Google search engine to search a specific topic, you can target people searching for a product you sell on your website. The traffic coming through Google Adwords are highly targeted because you get eyeballs that are searching for a specific product and you are offering that product through your website

People searching for a specific product are potential customers. Since there are hundreds and thousands of search pages for a single product or topic, it is rather hard to get on the first page of a Google search listing through Search Engine Optimization because you have to compete with hundreds and thousands of websites to get on the first page. Getting on the first page of Google search listing is important since most of the people click and visit websites on the first page. Very few go to the other pages to search for other options. So you need to be listed on the first page especially when you have a new business and you want quality traffic to start selling and earning money. Google Adwords is the answer to thousands of advertisers who are looking for laser-targeted traffic.

You need to have a Google Adwords account to start using Adwords as a medium of online advertising. But, you need to know how to attract people to your site. By telling that you offer a product cheap or give bonuses is not enough. You need to develop curiosity to attract visitors to your site.

Research has proven that visitors searching a product through Google are not inclined to click on the ad displayed on the search page. They tend to go for the organic search listing to get information or buy a product. To address this problem, you need to offer something unusual through Google Adwords. Hundreds of advertisers loose lots of money through Google Adwords. To avoid this, you need to be specific and creative with Google Adwords. Create a good headline. The problem with Google text-based ads is that you are limited to only 25 character for a headline and 35 characters for the ad copy. So be creative and think of something different. For example, if you own a creative writing services website, you can use “Articles for peanuts” as your headline. To complement the headline, your ad copy should ad to the headline since people reading the headline would go to the 35 character ad copy to read more about your product or service. If you manage to convince them that you are offering something cheap or different, they will click on the ad and visit your site. Once on the site, visitor will search for the product and if he/she likes what you offer, you will have a sale. To make sure the visitor visiting your website stays for more time, you need to have a compelling front page content to persuade the visitor and a strong call for action to make him/her buy the product. It is very important that your website converts. If you are unable to convert a visitor searching for information into a customer buying your product, you will loose sales. You should concentrate on getting a Return on Investment (ROI) on your advertising money. Only then will you be able to earn back the money spent on Adwords and earn a profit.
