New Conversion Data

Posted by on April 9, 2009 03:04 PM

Often when you're testing ads for a keyword, they perform relatively equally.  They get similar click-thru-rates and conversion data.  It then takes a while to determine a winner.

Luckily, AdWords just announced here and here that they're expanding how conversions are tracked.  They now allow you to not just track if a customer clicks on your ad and buys (or converts).  You can now track how many conversions each visitor generates with you over time.

This means you can find-out if one keyword is generating more repeat sales or conversions than another.  You get a better idea of what each keyword is really worth to you.
