7 Landing Page Tips To Boost Conversions

You have two choices to boost your conversion goals.  You can send more traffic or you can improve how well your landing pages perform.

For instance, let's say that 1 out of a 100 (1%) of your visitors become customers.  You then get 5000 visitors a day for 50 sales.  Now, imagine doubling that conversion rate to 2%.  You're paying for the same amount of traffic, but you get double the sales.

This is why it's important that you constantly work towards improving how well your landing pages perform.  

How can you do this?  Let's talk about some surefire strategies to boost your response:

1.  Make your landing page prospect-centered. This means replacing "We" and "I" with "you."  Tell visitors what's in it for them to take action with you.  This is opposed to only talking about your company or product credentials.  Move beyond features and into specifics of what your product or service means or does for the customer.

2.  Establish credibility with 3rd party testimonials or reviews.   It's a lot more believable when others talk about the benefits of your service than if you do.  And, if you do talk about your own credentials yourself, be sure to spell-out exactly what it means for the customer... how it benefits him or her.

3.  Use relevant images that complement the overall theme and enhance the copy.  Graphics can kill your response if they're not related to what you're talking about in your copy.  This is because they are easy to misinterpret.  An example of an effective graphic might be if you're talking about the ease of use of your product and you have a complimenting graphic that shows others easily using it.  Your image becomes a form of proof that your product or service works.

4.  Give plenty of white space and make the text easy to read.  Key parts of the copy should draw the eye towards it and stand-out.

6.  Have a strong call-to-action.  This means don't just leave your phone number or shopping cart button by itself.  But, give reasons to take action today.  Add a sense of urgency.  Even a simple "Call right now" or "Click on this button below now" can boost response noticeably than if you don't say anything at all.

7.  Enhance your offer.  There is a lot more to an offer than price.  You can stand-out by offering higher quality, reduced risk, and more proof or credibility that your solution works.

Great post, I build squeeze pages myself that convert at 80%+ so these are some good points. I always say, Keep It Short and Simple, get to the point Quick, Offer a "Take Action" bonus and tease what's on the next page.
