Meta Keywords Tag Is Back for Google News publishers!

Google recently announced they will begin using meta keywords tag for Google News publishers in the form of the news_keywords metatag.

Google stopped using the meta keywords tag ages ago. They simply ignore it and because of that, many SEOs don't bother to use it. But this metatag is different because it allows publishers to be fully creative while writing news headlines and new articles. They would not need to kill creative sentence phrasing just to satisfy the keywords requirements or Google, and can go metaphorical in every sense.

Google Said , “Empower news writers to express their stories freely while helping Google News to properly understand and classify that content so that it’s discoverable by our wide audience of users.”
