New AdWords features designed to help application developers promote downloads from Google Play or the iTunes Store!
Posted by on September 12, 2012 12:13 PMThere are now over 1 million apps inside the Google Play and iTunes Store! And the Good News! Google recently launched several app promotion features designed to help those of you who have created an app promotion campaign in AdWords, or are considering creating an app promotion campaign, maximize your return on investment.
The two new features include:
(1) A new ad format that shows more details about the app you are advertising.
The ad rotates to display all the information when a user clicks on the ad.
The user has to click on Download to go to the app download page.
(2) A method to bid on a target-CPA basis for those ads.
Advertisers create a text ad that points to the app download page, and AdWords automatically retrieves the ratings, image, etc. from the Google Play or iTunes store. The company says some advertisers have seen cost per conversions decrease by 25% with these new units.
